The popular Diet Solution program from Isabel de los Rios includes a variety of supplemental ebooks in addition to the main ebook. One of the most useful on your weight loss journey is “The Diet Solution Recipes”.
Contrary to many diet recipe books, this one provides a wide variety of meal options from simple to complex. The book is broken-up into eight main sections:
No-calorie beverages are best for just about any diet, and the Diet Solution is no exception. So while you should be drinking water for the most part, the sweet and refreshing “tea juice” recipe in this section gives you another option to break-up the monotony of plain water. This is also a great choice if you are craving something sweet.
2. Dressings, marinades, seasonings, and sauces
There are a variety of interesting options to spice-up your meals including the cilantro marinade and the Caribbean jerk rub. However, the most useful are the basic salad dressing and the use-it-on-everything marinade. Once you try these two they will quickly become staples in your meal plan.
Vegetable salads, side dishes, soups, and even entrees are covered in this section. Highlights include sweet potato dollars and a delectable pumpkin soup. We all need to eat more vegetables and this section shows you how to incorporate more veggies into your diet in a tasty way.
Included are recipes for chicken, turkey, and Cornish game hen. Again, the most basic recipes (such as the basic roasted chicken) will likely be your staples, but it's good to spice it up every once and while with something like turkey chili or tomato-fennel chicken with cauliflower and olives.
This section covers the more common meats like beef, lamb, pork, and veal, but also includes some interesting recipes for buffalo and venison. These meats, while not as traditional, are very low in fat and high in protein, making them a great addition to your diet. Standout recipes include the garlic and red wine steak and the horseradish burgers.
A variety of fish are used in the recipes in this section, including halibut, swordfish, and salmon. One of my favorites from this section (actually from the entire Diet Solution Recipes book) is the “Easy Smothered Salmon”. What makes this recipe “easy” is that it uses canned salmon (found next to the canned tuna in the grocery store). This meal tastes really good and is super easy to put together.
This section is great for vegetarians, or just those who want to start using a more “plant-based” diet instead of eating meat at every meal. This includes two different veggie burger recipes that even the most die-hard carnivores will enjoy. There are also recipes for soups, stews, and even a spicy black bean dip.
Eggs aren't just for breakfast! This section gives your recipes for quiche, frittatas, and even soups! That might sound a bit odd, but the Greek-inspired “Egg Lemon Soup” is actually quite delicious. This section also includes a recipe for homemade mayonnaise which is much creamier than any mayo you have ever tried before.
Overall the Diet Solutions Recipes has almost 100 pages of recipes, so you are sure to find more than enough
